Lets Talk Design!!

One of the best things about redoing a house from the bones is being able to really design it. Every surface in this house is getting a refresh, From walls and floors to every electrical outlet, cabinets, and doors. It has been a ton of fun! (Dont mind these photos, some of them are a little dark or colors are slightly skewed because of lighting, but try to see  the vision.)

So let me share with you what I had in mind!

My inspiration kitchen... Beautiful white shaker cabinets, which we well be getting delivered the first week of June. We saved money by opting for flat pack cabinets. pretty they ship the cabinets to us flat packed on a skid and we build them. It saves over half the cost. We also are doing all satin nickel knobs.
We also purchased oak butcher block counter tops. Paired with the gray and tan slate floors, the kitchen should be a show stopper. I am still trying to decide on whether or not to do  white subway tile for a more modern touch or go with bead board for a more farmhouse feel.

We also purchased a new GE stainless steel appliance package to go into the kitchen.

Here is a photo of our flooring, the slate tile will go in a herringbone pattern in the bathroom and in front of the fireplace, and on a diagonal in the kitchen. The hardwood will be finished in Minwax's special walnut with a Matte finish.

All the new doors will be 2 panel arched doors with satin nickel finishes. The trim, will be a nice wide trim, all finished in a bright white with neutral walls.

My inspiration fireplace will also be a nice bright white with a wooden mantle and new matte black doors. I found a door on Amazon that was perfect!

The light and bright will continue into the bathroom with a white shaker vanity, built in medicine cabinet, new white tub and slate floors. For contrast we will have blue gray walls, and wood tones.

Lastly, house color, I fell in love with Neutral White  by Sherwin Williams. It is almost more like a super pale tan. it really brightens up the whole exterior, paired with a dark brown shutter with a hint of metallic and a wrapped walnut post on the porch, this house will have lovely UPDATED, charm that will welcome it's new owners. <3

I am very much anticipating seeing my vision become reality!!
