Windows, Porches, Plumbing, and Electric

Lots has happened in the past few weeks but definitely not enough, this project, is taking a lot longer than anticipated, large part because extra projects were added on to suit our tastes and satisfaction with the home. Sorry these blogs seem few and far between and not as detailed as before but we are super busy to meet our deadline!
Last time, I showed the removal of the front closet to make room for the new front door. We cut a hole into the side of our home, to add it in, we also built on a porch to accommodate the new door location.
Scott cutting the new door hole.
We made sure to really tape of the area in plastic and put down cardboard to protect our floors!

Porch construction started, you can see both the old and new front doors in the picture!

View from inside the house of the porch being built. I will finally have space for the porch swing I always wanted!
The porch is mostly finished, but unfortunately, I haven't taken any photos of it yet!

Moving on, we also had window world come in and install brand new windows which look phenomenal!

What a difference, from the old slatted glass to new prehung... Asher was being a cute little cheese.

Where the old front door was, a new window was installed to allow for more light into the dining and kitchen area. The guys did and amazing job of making the new window match perfectly from the outside too.

We also made progress in the bathroom, the new electric and plumbing is still a work in progress, but the tub was installed and the tile put in.

 I so love herringbone. <3

We also began work on the fireplace painting the stained stone white, painting the inside box with high heat black, laying matching tile and adding new doors, I still need to make the mantel but that isn't a current priority project.
The coloring stinks a bit with the yellow hue but it looks good!
Last update I have time to talk about is plumbing, Scott's parents helped in installing upstairs washer and dryer hookups, a new water heater, all new pex pipes, new drains, running new outlets, and re-routing where the well comes into the house... There is a lot more, but this is all the time I had and what is currently easy to get off my phone... more updates to come as things progress.... like maybe when I put a wall back up in my poor kitchen... lol.
